Faculty
Faculty members of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy offer the official curriculum leading to the Associate, and Diplomate credentials in Logotherapy. These courses are available through Distance Learning and are approved by the American Psychological Association for Continuing Education credit.
Currently the Logotherapy Study Group of the Maritimes has two Faculty members of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy:

Dr. Edward Marshall is the President of the Canadian Chapter of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. He earned the Diplomate Clinician in Logotherapy credential through the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy, and he is Faculty and Lifetime Member of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy.
He completed his M.D., Ph.D. (Neuroscience), in Spain. He earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Leeds, U.K.
He practiced Psychiatry in England, U.K., and in British Columbia, Canada.
He is Registered Professional Counsellor and Master Practitioner in Counselling Psychology with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association, and Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Dr. Edward Marshall accepts invitations for public speaking in Logotherapy and works in private practice.

Dr. Maria Marshall is the Director of the Logotherapy Study Group of the Maritimes. She earned the Diplomate Clinician in Logotherapy credential through the South Germany Institute of Logotherapy, and the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy. She is Faculty and Lifetime Member of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy.
She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Calgary. She earned her Masters Degree in Counselling and Human Development at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She completed her Doctoral Degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta. She wrote her Doctoral Dissertation on the Applications of Viktor E. Frankl’s Logotherapy in Counselling Psychology.
She is the author of the book “Life with Meaning—Guide to the Fundamental Principles of Viktor E. Frankl’s Logotherapy,” and several research articles.
She practiced Psychology in British Coulmbia and she lectured at St. Mark’s College (University of British Columbia), and University of Portsmouth, U.K.
She is Registered Psychologist in Nova Scotia, Canada, and works in private practice.
