General Process of Logotherapy – Part I (30 hours)
Franklian Psychology: Attitudinal Change
This course offers and in-depth review of Existential phenomena, existential dynamics, and existential analysis which are relevant to the understanding of the concepts of self-distancing, self-transcendence, Noo-dynamics, existential frustration, existential distress, existential vacuum, and Noogenic Neuroses. The “Tragic Triad” of human existence will be presented, along with the three avenues to finding Meaning through Creative, Experiential, and Attitudinal Values. The process of applying a logotherapeutic intervention will be reviewed, spanning from case conceptualization, to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
General Process of Logotherapy – Part II (30 hours)
Franklian Psychology: Meaning-centered Interventions
This course offers an intensive review of specific logotherapeutic techniques, such as Paradoxical Intervention, De-reflection, and Modification of Attitudes. Their rationale will be illustrated with case examples. Narrative Logotherapy, as well as several other logotherapeutic interventions will be presented, and examined as complementing individual-, couple-, family-, and group therapy.
Entry requirements: Completion of the Introductory Course. The Intermediate Courses must be taken in order.
